our work
Blackflint is a theatre and production collective with stories at its watery heart. Artist led and ethical we traverse traditional theatre making forms, visual art and physical and street theatre whilst seeking to challenge and entertain ourselves, our audiences, and the wider community.

Conceived as a project to connect diverse artists based in Brighton/Hove with other seaside locations, our members' backgrounds include touring theatre, the West End and devised and site specific performance. Our work aims to be daring, meaningful and substantial. Whilst much of our work will be site responsive we are also committed to creating and touring work that specifically seeks to enrich water side communities.​​​​​

We are very excited to be developing our first theatre project. Given the enormous challenges of the post pandemic world and the cost of living, we think accessible stories matter more than ever. A sneak peak from our recent R&D for Sweet Phoebe
